The operation
An automatic indexer built around the JUKI LK1903B/BR35 button sewer: it moves the shirt front from one button position to the next, so the machine sews the whole row without the piece being repositioned by hand. It has a button check sensor and an automatic stacker.
Who makes it: GTN
Global Technical Network, Inc. — GTN — provides design and mechanical engineering services for industrial sewing equipment. It is based in Auburn, Georgia (USA), was established in 2002 and specializes in equipment manufacturing, automation attachments and custom tooling.
It designs the clamping tooling and programs the data chips that let a programmable sewing machine handle a specific piece — a label, a pocket pattern — and makes the machined parts in its own machine shop, treated against rust. Besides automated stations it builds custom workstations and manual work-aids, designed with the operator and their safety in mind.
