The operation
A gauge fitted to JUKI's DDL-8700-7H lockstitch machine guides 1-inch webbing under the presser foot, so the seam runs straight and at the same distance from the edge on every piece. It is a Camatron adaptation: Camatron converts JUKI machines to handle a specific operation.
Who adapts it: Camatron
Camatron, of Englewood, New Jersey (USA), is the preferred converter for JUKI, Brother and Singer when converting computer-controlled and electronic sewing machines, for apparel and industrial sewing.
It designs and builds the clamps, gauges and fixtures — with pneumatics where the operation calls for it — that adapt a machine to a specific operation, and runs its own research, design and development departments for better methods of sewing, handling fabric blanks and feeding work to the machine, both automatically and semi-automatically.
