The practical and highly productive sewing unit 743 offers you an ideal solution for sewing darts and waist pleats in trousers and skirts. Convincing is its way of working with very short cycle times. Whether you prefer a double lockstitch 743-221-01 or a double chainstitch 743-121-01, the sewing unit gives you perfect seams.

Seam shapes of darts and waist pleats
The straight dart has a straight seam course. This can cause a small "bubble" with different fabrics. To prevent this, the curved dart is the ideal solution. Due to the curved seam, the angle of the dart is much smaller and prevents the "bubble" at the end of the dart. The seam course of the waist pleat has a small curve with stitch condensation so that the material is not damaged by possible backtacking.
Fine adjustment for the dart point
For a perfect dart point without "bubble", the stepless fine adjustment can be used in addition to the seam shape for the dart.
Max. sewing length
The max. sewing length is depending on the dart angle.
Performance examples in 480 min.:
Performance: approx. 7,000 darts/ pleats in 480 min.
743-121-01: approx. 7,500 darts or waist.
743-221-01: approx. 6,500 darts or waist pleats.
Angle quick adjustment
Dart / waist pleat angles of 0° to 10° can be adjusted by means of the quick adjustment.
